Pink Shirt Day

Today was Pink Shirt day! We have been talking a lot lately about bullying, what it is, how it works and strategies to help end it if we are the bully, bystander or the target. We understand that we are all surrounded by caring adults and they will help us whenever they can as long as they know about the issue. We did some role play and learned some awesome strategies!

Today we worked on division and different strategies that we can use to solve for division problems. We have been building to solve for division, using repeat addition, dividing into equal groups, thinking about the fact families and so much more.

We were lucky and on Pink Shit day we also got to have the school occupational therapist come in and give us a lesson on expected versus unexpected behavior which fit in perfectly.

This is the last week we are working on our gorilla conservation video's and our rube gold bergs so new units coming soon! Stay tuned!
