Today we worked more on multiplication where we multiplied 2-digit numbers by 2-digit numbers using the box method. We have been playing many games to help us get better at this method and it is easy if we just follow the 5 simple rules.
In social we are working on knowing the map of Canada better and today we did a scavenger hunt where we had to use out compass rose to find the answers to different questions about provinces around Canada.
Today we did a new Daily Five station where we are working on our spelling. Once we try to sound out the words then we self check to see if we got them correct or not. If we didn't we simply make the change and work on sounding it out next time.
Out last three simple machine presentations were today. The wedge, wheel and Axel and pulley groups presented today and showed us their examples that they built. We are getting very excited to be able to use what we have learned about the different machines to soon create our own Rube Goldberg machine using them.
